MPL Malaysia Season 16

MPL Malaysia Season 16 is an offline tournament organized by Moonton and IO Esports. This competition features 10 teams and follows a Regular Season into Hybrid Elimination Playoffs structure. The tournament begins with a Regular Season, where all 10 teams compete in a single round-robin format with best-of-three (Bo3) matches. Teams accumulate points depending on their results: three points are awarded for a 2–0 win, two points for a 2–1 win, one point for a 1–2 loss, and no points for a 0–2 loss. At the end of the season, the top six teams advance to the Playoffs. The Playoffs are played under a Hybrid Elimination system. The teams that place first and second in the Regular Season standings are seeded directly into the Upper Bracket Semifinals, while the teams finishing third to sixth begin from the Upper Bracket Quarterfinals. All Playoff matches are played in a best-of-five (Bo5) format, except for the Grand Final, which is decided in a best-of-seven (Bo7). The Champion and Runner-up of the tournament will qualify for MSC 2025.
